Audrey is 5 months old! She is growing up fast and so far is doing everything sooner than Carter. Her two bottom teeth have broken through and she is sitting up on her own already. She is also starting to interact with Carter more. The other night she was laughing and reacting to Carter's silly antics during dinner. It was so cute to watch.

First day of school
It's hard to believe that it's that time again! Carter had his first day of school today. (For those of you that don't know-It's actually mom's day out but we call it school) Carter is officially a big boy as he is now in the preschool room. He was excited to start and has been asking to go the last couple of weeks. The teachers reported that he had a great first day and were impressed with how well he follows directions. :)

Grimm's lake house
The last weekend in July we went to the Grimm's lake house in TN along with the Graham family. We had gorgeous weather and of course the company was great.
Carter got to go tubing again but this time with daddy. He also stayed awake for the entire ride. After Carter was done tubing the guys took a turn and then did some knee boarding.

Aquarium & IMAX
The weekend after returning from WI Chuck got an unexpected weekend off due to maintenance work on the ORs. We heard that Chattanooga is a great weekend getaway for families so we packed up the car and went. We had a blast. The aquarium was amazing and our hotel was walking distance from everything. Here are just a few pictures of the many taken that weekend.
Carter loved the tanks that he could go and stand in the middle of. This one I think was his favorite one since it had the cast of Nemo in it.
Carter got a kick out of Daddy feeding the sting rays but was bummed that his arms weren't long enough to do it himself. There was another tank that had huge fish in it that he could reach in and touch. It took us a while to get him to move on.
Our package included tickets to the the IMAX theater. We weren't sure if Carter would sit still for it but we figured we would give it a try. After running around the aquarium all day we thought our chances might be pretty good. It was a 3D showing of Under the Sea. Carter ended up enjoying the movie and Audrey ended up watching it too. She flinched when a fish jumped out at some other fish. It was a funfilled day and both kids were exhausted by the end of the day. They both fell asleep while we waited for a table for dinner. We ended up getting our dinner to go and had a nice quiet dinner and movie in our hotel room.
Children's museum
Sunday we went to the Creative Discovery Museum that was right next door to our hotel. It was a really nice children's museum with tons to explore. Carter was especially excited to see that the Curious George exhibit was there. Audrey even stayed awake the whole time we were there. She ended up sleeping through lunch and the drive home.
