Last weekend we drove to Atlanta to visit with Tita Amy. Or as Carter likes to call her, Silly Tita. She was in Atlanta for a conference and had Sunday free to spend with us. We drove Sat. afternoon during Audrey's nap time so she would sleep all the way there. Didn't work as well as we had hoped. There was an accident that had us sitting on the highway in park! That of course woke Audrey up. By the time we got past it we had to stop at the first exit. She was not happy to be in her carseat and by the time we got to Atlanta she was so worked up she was vommitting on herself. Once we got to the hotel both kids were happy to be out of the car and to see Tita Amy.

Snow!!!!!
We got about 4 in. of snow yesterday! I know that's nothing for you northerners but it's a ton for Alabama. Carter was so happy that when he saw the snow falling he said, "It's our turn now!" As I said before he's been so jealous of the snow everyone else was getting. This made his winter. Carter and Audrey played in it in the morning and when Chuck got home in the afternoon. The snow was still on the ground this morning when we left for moms & tots but was all melted when we got home. Carter was so sad to see it gone.
Chuck was able to come home in time to play in it before it got dark. He built this snow man. Right after we took the picture Carter knocked it down and started to eat the carrot. Such a boy.I wasn't sure what Audrey would think of the snow but she loved it! She was happy as can be crawling around in it. Since we don't have snow pants she got soaked and I had to take her in to warm up. She was not happy about it and complained by the window. Carter eating the snow. He told me he could play a long time because if he got hungry he could just eat the snow. Yumm!Sasha looking so pretty in the snow.

Snow???
The forecast is calling for 2-4 inches of snow early tomorrow morning. Last time we had the chance of snow the entire city shut down and it never ended up snowing. It should be interesting to see what happens this time. Carter will sure be happy if it does. He's been wanting snow so badly. He gets sad every time the news shows pictures of all the snow in the east. He keeps saying that he wishes we had a lot of snow. Stay tuned for what will hopefully be pictures of the kids in snow.

and she's off
A couple of weekends ago Audrey started to walk behind her walker. Since then she hasn't stopped and thinks it's the greatest thing ever. Now she walks behind anything she can push (kitchen stools, highchair, etc.). The other day I was walking with her holding my hands and when I let go she took a few steps on her own. That was the only time she's done that though. It'll still be a while before she's walking independently.
Audrey is into EVERYTHING these days. She is especially drawn to Sasha's water dish. We keep the pocket door closed which has kept her away from it for a long time. She has recently discovered that she just has to take the long way around to the living room. We usually hear her making her way over but last night I caught her too late and she was already drenched. She went straight into the tub from here.
She is also a pro at emptying things out. Whenever I do laundry she's always happy to empty out the basket. She also loves to pull all the books off of Carter's bookshelves. This morning she got quiet so I knew she was up to something. Well she decided to empty out her bib drawer. She didn't leave a single one in there. Silly little girl! Carter is such a good helper that when he saw the mess he cleaned it all up for me. :)
