This picture was actually taken before the beach but I had to post it anyway. Carter could not wait to get to the beach or pool to don his new spiderman fins and goggles. He wore them around the house for quite some time. I love the look on Audrey's face in the background. Carter also had his 4 year check up yesterday and once again the doctor said he's perfect. :) He is now in the 50th percentile for height (40 in) and the 30th for weight (33 lbs).

Destin
Last week was Chuck's last week of vacation so we headed down to Destin, FL for a couple of days. It was much needed and overdue quality family time. As always, the time went by too quickly.
Carter was in his glory at the beach. He loved the water and having all that sand to play with. There was even a little girl his age that he played with every morning. In this picture he's trying to beat the wave to shore.
Audrey on the other hand, was a diva and wanted nothing to do with the sand and water. It's a good thing I picked up this beach tent the day before we left. It was enough room for her to play and walk around without getting sand on her feet.
We took this family picture using the timer on the camera. This is the view from our condo. We ate lunch out here every day.
Carter could not get enough of the beach. He wore himself out every day and had no problems going to bed at night. I love this picture of him!

Under construction
The other weekend we completed what was hopefully the last BIG project of this house before we move. Karen, George, Aunt Susan & Uncle Dave made the trip to work hard replacing our a/c and heating units. Not only did they replace the units they also replaced all the duct work and made 2 new air returns (the ones we had were too small). A huge thanks to Sue & Dave for lending their time and expertise!! Poor George and Dave need a vacation from their vacation.

Another b-day treat
Carter celebrated his b-day at school the other day. He brought this massive spiderman cookie cake as his treat (along with spiderman napkins and plates). I forgot to take a picture of it before school so here is the aftermath. I think you get the idea. The kids loved it and sang happy b-day to Carter.
