1 month

 Evelyn is 1 month old!  (5 days ago)  I can't believe I caught her holding 1 finger up for the picture :)  She's an excellent baby.  She's been doing well going with the flow having to chase the other two around.  The poor thing spends a lot of time in the car seat.  She's already my best sleeper.  Her first stretch at night is around 5 hours.  There's been a couple of times where it's been 6! 

 Audrey wanted to get in the picture action.  She continues to love on Evelyn and help when she can.  Just ask her and she'll tell you what a good big sister she is :)

As for Carter...He's enjoying soccer.  It just so happens his team got the orange jerseys (his favorite color) and Carter was given #13 (my number when I played volleyball and soccer)  His team has been dominating and Carter even scored a goal.

anxious & excited

We have been in the rental house 4 months and we are so ready to move into OUR house and finally get unpacked and settled.  As anxious as we are it's also a little surreal to think that we are moving into our house this next weekend.  There still seems to be a good bit to do before it's ready but we know they'll get it done.  There's been a lot going on at the house since we had Evelyn so here's a couple of sneak peaks.

 

We love how the chimney on the front of the house turned out.  That's the office fireplace chimney.

 I searched a long time to find this stone for the great room fireplace and it was worth the effort.  So happy with how it turned out.

 I've said it before and I'll say it again.  I can't wait to get settled into my kitchen!  So happy with the tile backsplash and the awesome medallion over the stove.

The powder room is coming together.  I'm happy we splurged on the vessel sink.

 

It's so exciting to see these finishing touches go in the house.  Can't wait to post pictures of it completely done!

Preschool

 Audrey had her first day of preschool on August 29th. (yep, I'm almost a month behind on this blog)  She was so excited to start at her new school she didn't want to pose for the picture.  She just wanted to get in the car and go.

 When we got to school she wanted her picture taken in this random chair in her room instead of somewhere cute.  Her excitement died down when one of her classmates was screaming bloody murder when her mom left.  Luckily, it didn't scare her too much and she still went into class without a problem.  She was all smiles and said she had fun when I picked her up later that morning.

First Bath

 It was time to give Evelyn her first bath at home.  Audrey pushed a chair over to supervise.  Carter did the same thing when Audrey was a baby.

 Of course she hated it and protested the whole time.  Thankfully, she's gotten used to it now.

Big Brother Big Sister

 I had to get a picture of the kiddos in their big brother/big sister shirts.  I found the perfect one for Carter since his says big brother in charge.  We all know that Carter always takes charge and thinks he's the boss :)  Audrey says that hers says big sister in charge even though is doesn't.

first visitors

Tita Angela and Uncle Brett came the first weekend we were home with Evelyn.  Chuck and Brett enjoyed golfing both mornings.  It was nice to have them here for the weekend.  Of course, Carter and Audrey loved having them here and getting the extra attention.

Home Sweet Home

 

Thursday, 23rd Evelyn and I were ready to go home from the hospital.  Chuck took Carter to school and came straight to the hospital in case they let us go right away.  They got all the discharge things taken care of quickly and we were home before lunch.

 Evelyn ready to go in her cute girly car seat.  Being a third child she's going to spend a lot of time in this car seat chasing the other 2 to school and all their activities.

 Carter was so happy to see that we were home when get got back from school.  The first thing he does when he gets home from school every day is wash his hands and puts the boppy on his lap to hold Evelyn.  He's such a sweet big brother.

 Carter only had a half day of school his first day.  Chuck took the kids out to lunch then over to the hospital to visit Evelyn and me for the afternoon.  It was nice having them there.

 I love this one of them.  The looks on their faces are just too precious.  They love her already.

First day of school

 Carter had his first day of school Wed. 22nd.  Since I had Evelyn the night before Chuck got to play Mr. Mom and get him to school.  Our rental house is zoned for a different school than where we are building so we have to drive Carter.  He'll be able to take the bus when we move into our house.  I was sad I missed taking him to his first day but Chuck did a good job taking pictures for me.  I also got to call him on the way and wish him a good day.  Carter was so excited to start at his new school and be a big 1st grader.
