Un-Christmas like weather

 The kids played with their new goodies only for a short bit inside.  Audrey is getting fancy nail art done by Tita Angela and Evelyn is building with her magnatiles with Uncle Brett.

 It was unseasonably warm out Christmas day that the kids were able to test out all of their new wheels.  Evelyn was so happy to have a scooter of her own.  She kept trying to ride Audrey's but it was too big for her.  Santa brought her one that is just her size.

 Carter and Audrey got to practice changing gears on their new bikes.  We can't wait to take them out on the trail with these bikes.

We took all the dogs for a walk around the block.

We couldn't believe what a gorgeous day we were having on Christmas!

 Jax got his fill of Christmas cuddles for the kiddos.

Christmas

 Christmas Eve ends up being a late night.  As the kids are getting older, they are staying up later despite us telling them to go to bed.  They try to stay up to catch Santa in the act.

 Thank goodness for my elves, Angela & Brett or I would have pulled an all nighter this year!  Chuck was on call so he wasn't able to help as much.  

 Seeing their excitement in the morning makes it all worth it.

 Sasha had to be in the mix this year.

 Evelyn didn't have a list for Santa.  She only asked for a new leotard for gymnastics.

other Dec happenings

 We managed to sneak in a date night despite how crazy Dec. can get.  They insisted on taking a picture of us.

 Carter earned his dragon belt.  He's one step away from earning his black belt.

Evelyn got the dime in the first loaf of katah we ate.

 December is so busy that we didn't get cookies frosted until 2 days before Christmas!

 The kids love doing it and I'm no longer allowed to help.  They do a pretty good job but..

 the kitchen table is not the same when they're done.

Evelyn's School Program

 Evelyn had her school Christmas program before the break.

No program is complete without yummy treats.  The kids loved these cute snowman heads.

 Evelyn really enjoyed watching Audrey rehearse for the Nutcracker.  One afternoon she started dancing around.  She struck this pose and said, "Mommy, look! I do Nutcracker."

 Then she insisted I take a picture of some of her other poses

 I'm so glad both of my girls love ballet

Naturally, she had to include Sasha in the fun.
