Riverfront museum

We joined the Riverfront Museum and spent the afternoon there.  It was small and unimpressive but that seems to be the trend here in Peoria.
The kids had fun exploring the exhibits.

They had an area about the Illinois river.  The kids always love seeing fish.
There was also a small water play area.

few randoms

I hate having to get Carter up so early in the morning for school but the up side is the beautiful view of the sunrise out his window.
Carter and Audrey were sitting on the couch playing on their kindles.  Evelyn wedged herself in between them and it was so cute.

Ballerinas

Audrey always asks me when Evelyn can start going to ballerina school.  She put her old costume on her and told me since it fits maybe she's big enough now :)
I'm not sure what's going on with this look
They were so cute dancing around Audrey's room.
Something outside caught their attention but I don't remember what.
Evey didn't want to take the costume off

Finally warming up

Towards mid-March it finally started to warm up.  Audrey wanted to play outside and ride her bike.  Evelyn was excited to get into the wagon.  She loves riding in it.
Their were puddles to ride around.  About half way around the neighborhood Audrey decided it was more fun to ride through them than ride around.
 So happy to be outside
She went back outside while Evelyn napped and we waited for Carter to come home from school.

Lego Movie

Carter and Audrey kept asking to go see The Lego Movie.  We got a sitter for Evelyn and had a date with the big kids.
Ready for the movie to start.  They gobbled up their kids packs during the movie.  No movie is complete without popcorn, fruit snacks and a slushy.
They loved the movie!  When we got home they immediately went down to the basement to play with their legos :)

school carnival

The first weekend in March Carter's school had their annual carnival.  It's their biggest fundraiser for the year.  The kids have fun playing all the games.
Carter and Audrey raced each other through the obstacle course
The face painting was a disappointment this year
Last year they had a professional.  This year they had volunteer high school kids that didn't know what they were doing.  Oh well.
The balloon guy was there.  He's always a hit with our kiddos.

Last of the snow

Winter was long this year and I'm happy these are the last pictures of the kids playing in the snow
Audrey's as tall as the lamp post standing on one of the snow piles
She still talks about how yummy the snow is to eat.  And no, I don't know what is with her pose.  It's just Audrey being Audrey
Evelyn loved trying to help shovel
