Packer Family Night

The first weekend of August we went up to Green Bay for Packer Family Night.  We decided to take a break from the water park and do this as our Farwell reunion this year.
The kids posing with the Vince Lombardi statue
The brand new Lambeau leap photo spot
Me and my girls.  Evelyn was saying cheese but looks like she's giving stink face
We were waiting for the rest of the group outside the pro shop.
The kids wanted to sit down to eat their dippin dots.  Evelyn did not want to sit on the ground so she plunked herself on Carter's lap.  He was so sweet and let her sit on his lap despite him being so hot.
The toothless girls (Audrey and Claire) thought they could eat corn on the cob.  They were cute trying but ended up handing it off to the dads to finish.
 Evelyn devoured hers
 Carter decorating the window
Audrey waited in the extremely long line to get her face painted.  And yes, she thought it was worth it.
Evelyn finally passed out while we waited in line to go into the stadium
Family pic in Lambeau Field with a sleeping Evelyn
Our Farwell reunions usually are just the moms and kiddos.  I'll admit it was nice having the dads along.
The boys Drew, Carter and Gabe
Love these girls and their friendship.
 All of our munchkins
I had to get a picture of them now that Evelyn was awake
The night ended with an impressive fireworks and laser show
Carter absolutely loved it!  He kept turning around to tell me WOW and to make sure I was taking pictures :)
This kid had an amazing first trip to Lambeau!
So did these girls.  Passed out before even making it to the highway.

Wrapping up July

I love when I catch moments like these when all 3 of them are playing nicely together.
Even Evelyn is showing an interest in golf.  Daddy loves that all 3 of them want to golf so far. And yes, she's wearing her bike helmet.  All summer she would wear it whenever she was outside.  She looked like the little toad from Mario Bros. running around.
Junior Golf finished up with a tournament.  Carter got to play with his buddy Brayden from swim team.  These three had so much fun with their last round.
The kids continue to love finding bugs, etc.  This is an inch worm the kids so creatively named Inchy :)
Daddy had a conference in Scotland and was gone a week.  We skyped and sent him pictures like this every day.
 Evelyn still loves her Trixie
Sasha joined us upstairs for some cuddle time
She's always loved Carter and still shows preference towards him.
Audrey stole Evelyn's stroller so Evelyn sat on her lap
We took the kids to their first Peoria Chiefs baseball game.  The game was very family friendly and the night ended with good fireworks.  Chuck even caught a t-shirt.  Carter was impressed!

Purple belt testing

The end of July Carter tested for his purple belt.
He's really enjoyed having his friend Timothy on the same track with him.  It's fun to watch them together.

Carter admits that the sequences are getting harder every time.
But he always does a good job
Carter and Timothy got to as Carter says, "battle" each other.

Carter even got to "battle" Master Kim
I really enjoy watching belt testing.  He gets more one on one instruction and corrections than he gets in class.  Carter really takes away more during these sessions.

Last swim meet

Swim team wrapped up mid July since we weren't participating in the all conference meet.  The weekend long meet was out of town and Chuck was on call.  I know Evelyn wouldn't hold up through those long days.  Maybe next year.  Carter had a big gap between events at the last meet so Chuck and I went up and ate a quick buffet dinner on the terrace.  We had a great view of the river and pool from our table.
So serious getting ready for his event.
Getting ready for a relay.  He really liked doing the relays.
He was nervous swimming back stroke.  He said it's hard to swim straight outdoors.  He did well though.
 Checking out his competition
 freestyle
When the meet is over they leave the pool and diving well open.  There's a buffet up in the club house and a DJ plays music by the pool.  Carter enjoyed his first summer on swim team.  I'm sure he'll want to do it again next year.

Build A Bear

Audrey got a Build A Bear gift card for her birthday.  I figured that would be a great activity to cheer her up after getting 3 teeth knocked out.  Chuck took Carter to Junior Golf Thursday so that was the perfect time to take her.
Audrey picked out the my little pony Twilight Spartkle.  She got to press the pedal to fill her pony after kissing and placing the heart inside.
After filling it she gave it a bath.
I let Evelyn pick one out too.  She picked out the pony Trixie.
After bathing their ponies they picked out outfits for them.  The number of outfits they have for these things is insane!  They even have different shoes and roller skates!  Evelyn wanted the pony's tutu for herself.  She was so mad when it didn't fit.
There were dressing stations to use.  Audrey really got into it. She needed some help getting the crown and cape on.  It was tricky with her wings. After dressing Twilight Sparkle she brushed her hair.  She kept looking at herself in the mirror while she brushed,
 Happy with their completed ponies.
Audrey typed in all the information for the birth certificate.
They had a choice of a backpack or the box house to carry them home in.  They both wanted the house.
 My girls and their ponies
They played with them all afternoon.  They also colored the houses.
Audrey would swipe Evelyn's pony and sleep with both of them.  Every morning Evelyn would find Trixie in Audrey's bed and grab it yelling, "MINE!"
