We took a day trip to O'ahu to see Pearl Harbor. We flew out of the little remote airport. It was weird but nice to not have to go through security and be welcomed by name when we arrived. Here's our little plane for our short flight.
I sat right behind the pilot. The views of the islands were great during our flight. I didn't take many pictures of it though.
When we arrived on O'ahu we went straight to Pearl Harbor.
A distant shot of the "Mighty Mo" and USS Arizona Memorial
We are so glad we took the time to visit this historic site.
The "black tears of the Arizona"
The shrine was under construction

The USS Bowfin is in the background
Our next stop was to tour the USS Missouri or the "Mighty Mo"
From the deck
Where the Japanese signed the surrender ending WWII
Cheesy, but we did it anyway
We saw downtown Honolulu and stopped at the statue of King Kamehameha. The palace was across the street but we did not have time to tour it.
We stopped at Waikiki Beach
Another shot of Waikiki.
We were back to Maui in time to enjoy a sunset dinner
