This year has been challenging with Chuck in fellowship. We don't get enough time together as family and really don't get any time to ourselves. So we took advantage of the free babysitting and left the kids with the grandparents and spent a couple of nights at the Summerfield Inn in Abingdon, VA
When we got to the bed & breakfast I was surprised with a beautiful bouquet and a box of chocolates. It was a nice day so we walked around checking out all the little shops etc. The b & b was walking distance to everything.

That evening we went to a dinner at the Martha Washington Inn. Both of our meals were delicious. Then we went to the Barter Theatre where we saw Xanadu.
Warming up by the fire after an afternoon of shopping for the kids. Our second night there we went to dinner and a movie. We aren't even sure what the last movie was that we got so see in the theater. It was nice to have some much needed quality time together.
