Happy 11th birthday to our monkey!
Birthday donut for breakfast
At school the principal took a birthday selfie with him.
His big gift from us was a guitar. He isn't interested in playing many sports but he has a huge love of music. The suggestion of piano lessons didn't get him excited but this guitar did.
He picked an oreo blizzard DQ cake with an xbox control design on top.
Ready to sing happy birthday. I'll get to Evelyn's new accessory next.
A lot of candles to blow out!
My littlest monkey tried to steal Carter's thunder by breaking her arm on his birthday. I didn't get the dreaded call from school this time. She broke it right as I got to the playground for pick up. Evelyn decided to take a flying leap at the monkey bars (yes, the darn monkey bars again!). She caught the bar but her momentum caused her legs to fly up to where she was almost upside down. That's when she lost her grip and fell. She put her hand down to break her fall and that caused a buckle fracture in both her radius and ulna. I could tell it was broken and immediately called Chuck to get the ball rolling with orthopedics. We were able to get her seen, casted and home before Carter & Audrey got home. It broke my heart to see her so upset about needing a cast. I think her face in this picture says it all.
She brought markers to get her friends signatures at school. It was adorable to see the preschoolers trying to sign a bumpy cast.
