Last game

 The beginning of October Carter had his last soccer game of the season.  Grandma Debbie and Tita Angela were visiting and got to watch him play

 We were proud of how well he played this year

 Coach sharing all of Carter's strengths with everyone.  Everyone laughed when coach commented on how Carter would go after guys twice his size without fear :) 

 That afternoon Carter showed Grandma Debbie and Tita Angela how he's 2 wheeling now

 Evey did some mowing

 Audrey got her bike out too.  She had Grandma Debbie walking up and down the sidewalk with her.  Evelyn ended up joining in.

 Then mom put Evey on the tricycle.  She thought it was pretty fun

Of course we had to make a stop at Sweet Cece's for a treat :)

 This little stinker has discovered the serving cart.  All three of them around this age found this to be a fun "toy"  She not only does she climb on the bottom but uses it to climb onto the table!

 Audrey is always up to something.  It's not very often I find her sitting still and vegging out.  I had to document this moment.

 Grandma & Grandpa got Evelyn this outfit for her birthday.  I tried to get a picture of her in it but she was too busy checking everything out.  She kept handing me leaves :)

 I think this is the best I got.  Plus the ground slopes toward the pond and we had to keep her from running down into the pond

She can be such a daddy's girl

 Evelyn loves to watch Carter come home.  She gets so excited when she sees the bus coming.

She points at the door until Carter gets off.  Then she laughs and giggles and runs to give him a hug.  It's so sweet.

Camp Grant

Mid September Carter's friend had a camp themed birthday party.  Families were invited and it was a lot of fun.  It was a perfect fall day for an outdoor party,

 We roasted hot dogs over the camp fire for lunch

 I brought the wagon so Evelyn had a buckled seat and table top to eat.

Instead of birthday cake we roasted s'mores for dessert.  Carter was in heaven.  I think he had at least 2!

 They did hay rides around the park.  The boys all jumped on the first one.

More gymnastics and soccer

 I think I already mentioned that Audrey enjoyed gymnastics so much over the summer that we are continuing on with it through the school year.  She really looks forward to these mornings.

 It's cute because her teacher will send her post cards every once in a while telling her how well she's doing.  It really makes Audrey feel special.

Walking

 Right after her birthday Evelyn decided to start walking

 She practically went from just beginning to walk to running!

I love the tiny human phase.  It's so cute!

Medical Society Picnic

 Early September the Medical Society had their annual family picnic at Ravina on the Lakes.  There was a nice catered lunch and an ice cream sundae bar for dessert.  They had some activities for the kids too.

 Audrey loves to get her face painted.  She thought it was neat that they matched the color to her outfit.

 The kids had the bouncy house to themselves at first.  It let Evelyn bounce with them.  She loved it!

 We brought the kids fishing poles along.

 They didn't really catch anything and it was really hot out so the kids were ready to go after fishing for a little.

Plus Evelyn kept trying to go into the pond.  On our way home we cooled off with some slushies.

Orange belt testing

 Early September Carter got to test for his orange belt.  It's been fun watching him and his friend from school Timothy progress together.

 They did such a good job on their sequence and were so in sync

 After doing the yellow belt sequence they go through the other skills

Carter passed and received his orange belt and certificate at his next class.
