The girls

The kids love having movie nights in the theater room.  You would think a movie night would mean the kids are quiet and still.  Not these two!  They were hilarious with their shenanigans.
They are so cute when they play dress up together.  Audrey is sweet and helps Evelyn if she needs it.
Usually they get dressed up in the princess dresses.  This time it was tutus and capes.  Audrey tried to teach Evelyn some ballet moves.
Audrey likes this tutu because it twirls.
I had to include this one.  Evelyn was so excited to get an electric toothbrush.  She kept telling me it tickles.  Oh, the simple pleasures in life :)

Big girl bed

Mid November we finally moved Evelyn to a big girl bed.  I say finally because Carter and Audrey had already been in one for a while by this age.  We ordered a new bedroom set for Audrey's room and moved her old set (which was my set when I was little) into Evelyn's room.  While we moved the headboard the kids read books in between the mattress and box spring.
She was so excited to have a big girl bed and even picked out the butterfly sheets herself.  I ordered her comforter and pillow shams but they didn't come in by the time we put the bed together.  She was happy using the Tinkerbell blanket until it arrived.  She kept telling us, "crib bye bye."  It's so bittersweet to see the crib and changing table go.
Carter and Audrey asked her if she wanted them to read to her.  She of course said yes.
They were so cute!  They took turns reading the pages.
They can be so sweet to each other!
Love my munchkins!  They are growing up way too quickly!
Evelyn was excited to watch the furniture be delivered to Audrey's room. She was the first to jump on the bed before I could even make it.

I ordered new bedding for Audrey too.  I love how colorful it is.  And yes, I had to monogram the pink pillow.  It's a new bedroom fit for a princess.
Audrey was so excited about her new furniture she made "decorations" for it :)
Going through the pictures I realized I never took one of Evelyn's bedding.  Oh well.

He broke a board!

Mid-November Carter had belt testing.  This was the first time he had to break a board!  The board was much different from when he did it in Birmingham at his birthday party.  This was the real deal!
After warming up it was the first thing he had to do for his testing.  And he did it!  You could hear the snap!  We are proud of him and the skills he's developing.  Thankfully, we video taped it as these pictures don't do it justice.
After the excitement of the board breaking it was back to skills testing.
Carter passed and earned his first degree red belt.

Girlie fun

On the rare occasion that I actually put on make up to go out, Evelyn thinks she gets to put some on too.  She gets her stool and has to try and put on everything I do.
She doesn't make too much of a mess of my make up and she is so proud of how beautiful she looks when she's done.  One of these times I'll have to get an after picture with all her streaks of color across her face.
The next night Audrey had her bestie from preschool over for dinner and movie night.  It had been a while since they saw each other and they were thrilled to finally be together again.  They were adorable!  They both squished in the one chair and sat like that through the whole movie.
After the movie they had to sing along to Let it Go.  They are such good friends to each other and play so well together.  It's too bad we live so close but are zoned for different schools.

Halloween

Audrey's class had a day full of pumpkin activities.  Here they are seeing if they float or sink.
With a couple of her friends at school
The kids now ask to make mummy dogs for Halloween dinner.  This year Evelyn got to help wrap them.
As always they also requested for me to make home made mac and cheese that ends up looking like brains.
I picked up cupcakes from the Chef and the Baker for dessert.  It's our favorite place to get cupcakes.
She decorated them so cute!  She had a fun spiderweb one but the lady in front of me got the last one.
The girls ready to go trick or treat.  Audrey went as Zarina the pirate fairy.  Evelyn saw Carter's old dragon costume in the box and insisted on wearing it.  Carter already ran off with some friends.
She's saying, "ROAR!"  It worked out well she wanted to wear the dragon costume.  It had gotten really cold out and we were able to put layers underneath.
To say they were excited is an understatement.  They went running to the first house.  It was Evelyn's first time trick or treating.
The first couple of houses she was a little shy.  By the third house she didn't need us to go to the door with her.  Audrey was sweet and made sure to wait for Evelyn before ringing the door bell.
I got a picture of all 3 when Carter got home.  By then Evelyn's face was already covered in chocolate.  She didn't waste any time digging into her candy.

treats

The kids love holiday themed treats.  I couldn't resist picking up these ghost cookies from Great Harvest.
 Such goof balls
Carter also earned a treat at school.  The AR stars were treated to a root beer float party.

CCP Halloween Party

The Country Club had the kids Halloween party the Sunday before.  It was a gorgeous day and perfect weather for an outdoor party.
They always have a nice variety of activities for the kiddos.  They started with painting pumpkins.
After pumpkins we ate lunch before moving on to the other activities.  Next year I'll have to take picture of the buffet.  They also do an impressive job carving the food into decorations!
They colored treat bags.  There was candy at all the stations the kids could put in their bags.
There were different masks to make.  Audrey chose the witch.
I managed to get a good picture of all three of them!  Not always an easy task ;)
The kids got to roast marshmallows to make s'mores.  One of the kids favorite things to make!  I don't even know how many they made between the three of them.
 Yumm!
They had a rice krispie treat bar.  I loved this idea and might have to steal it for a kids party at the house.  They had all the different flavors of rice krispies, trix, different candy add ins, etc.
After picking their cereals the cooks mixed it up with the marshmallows.
 So good!
It was a hit with all the kids
I didn't take any pictures of it but they also had a bounce house and carnival type games.
 Waiting for the hay ride
We managed to catch the last hay ride of the day.
It took us through the golf course
After that we took our 3 sugar comatose munchkins home
