baking with the mini

The mini loves to help me bake and constantly asks what we can make.
She was bugging me to make cut out cookies so I finally caved.
She does a great job doing most of the work.
Evelyn's class presented their duck project to the parents.  Each student got to talk about their favorite journal entry.
Posing with her friend, Brendan in front of the word wall.
The highlight of the morning.  Eating duck cookies!

Riverdance

In the beginning of April Riverdance came through Peoria.
A group of us went out to dinner and then the show.  It was quite the blast from the past.  The last time I saw them I was in college!
Post show group shot.  Love these peeps

8 is great!

We finished out March with Audrey turning 8!
Birthday donut for breakfast
Parking lot spinning in her new birthday dress.
After her birthday dinner she got to open presents
She chose a Jasmine oreo blizzard ice cream cake
 Making a wish
 Love these kiddos!

kids carnival

The day after we got home from the cruise the Club had a kids carnival.  We figured Carter and Audrey were getting a little big for it but we decided to go anyway.
The girls never pass up an opportunity to get their faces painted.
 The finished product
The part they enjoyed the most was the indoor mini golf course through all 3 levels of the club.
 Final putt
Evelyn would only do it with Carter's help
Then, they found these crazy things.  They spent a ton of time and countess balloons having races to see who could get theirs to pop first.

Kennedy Space Center

After the cruise we spent an extra day in Port Canaveral and went to the Kennedy Space Center.  Carter really enjoyed his class field trip to the Challenger Learning Center where he completed a space mission simulation.

The kids found were amazed with the size of the rockets and how they evolved over the years.

I can't imagine how it felt to have 3 adults in that space.

So cool to see Atlantis so up close.

 Sonic boom slide
Evelyn wasn't quite tall enough for the flight simulator.  We did some shopping and ate dippin dots while we waited on them to be done.
We managed to get a family shot on our way out.
The kids are always excited to pick Sasha up when we return from vacation.

Castaway Cay

It was a beautiful view waking up at Castaway Cay!  The kids were excited to hit the beach.
 Posing with the Disney Dream
 It was an impressive ship.
We were fortunate to have a cabana for the day. It was such a sweet set up
The kids didn't waste any time making themselves at home.
The cabanas have their own private area away from the crowd
Enjoying having the water to ourselves
Playing in the sand with Grandpa
 Diva 1
 Diva 2
Carter had fun finding conch and fish
Evelyn wanted to pose with the shell but quickly let go when she saw it was still occupied
 Last dinner aboard the Dream
We couldn't leave without ordering Mickey ice cream bars to the room
