a couple Evey pics

Audrey decided Evelyn needed all of her toys at once.  By the time Audrey ran out of toys to bring her Evelyn was completely buried.  You could only see her face.  This was about mid way through.  Evelyn didn't mind and enjoyed all having so many options within reach.
I couldn't believe Evelyn fell asleep in her bouncy chair like this.  It just doesn't look comfortable at all.  I had to take a picture of her before fixing her.
Audrey always likes to photo crash and lately she likes to make a funny face while she does.
In the beginning of the month we started rice cereal with Evelyn.  We just had the feeling she was ready and she sure was.  She ate it like a champ the very first time.  The other two took awhile to get used to it.  Since then we have gotten through a bunch of veggies and she's now starting some fruit. She's my good eater.

Saying good bye

After the girls left Sunday I packed for the kids and I to head up to Wisconsin the next morning. I wanted to make it back to Sheboygan so I could be with my grandma before she passed. The kids were great and I made it with out having to stop.  I was able to sit with family and hold her hand. Late that night she passed surrounded by her loved ones.  Even though she is no longer suffering and is in a better place it is still hard to say good bye.  She will be greatly missed.
Tuesday afternoon I drove back home.  The kids went to school Wednesday and I was able to get us repacked while they were there.  Thursday, we went back up to Sheboygan for the visitation and funeral services.  The kids were troopers with all the back and forth.
The upside was being with all our family.  It was nice to see the little ones have fun together.
We had some time to let the kids swim before having to head out for dinner.
Here's big kid Chuck showing Carter and Audrey how much fun the slide is.
Carter wasn't buying it and was scared to go down.  The kid will jump off a boat and diving board but was scared of the slide.  He went down anyway but only if we bought him an app for his kindle fire.  You gotta love his face coming down the slide.  He was all smiles that night picking out his app :)
Friday night the family that was still in town went out for a fish fry.  Grandma loved going out for a fish fry on Fridays so that's what we all did.  It was good as always and nice to have that extra time with family.
Audrey, Ava and Natalie had a blast together.  They had fun running around and dancing that night.
Nora and Evelyn are only two days apart.  They looked so cute holding hands

 cousins!
The kids were able to get some sledding in at Grandma Debbie and Mike's house.  We haven't gotten enough snow to do this at home so they were thrilled and had a good time.

Farwell girls visit

The last weekend in January my lovely Farwell girls came to visit.  I am so blessed to have these friends in my life and we have remained friends through the years and distance.  Love these girls and our time together.  They all met up in Beloit and drove the rest of the way down together.  So grateful they were all willing to make the trip down for us to spend the weekend together.
Saturday we did some shopping and went out to lunch.  After lunch we found a bead store that helped us make our own necklaces.  I was a lot of fun.
All of our necklaces had the silk tie in common but all turned out different.
After we finished making our necklaces we headed home to start cooking dinner.  We had a good time all being in the kitchen together.
Amy even let Audrey help with the salsa
Hillary taking her turn with baby duty so I could cook.  Evelyn got a lot of attention that weekend being held by eveyone.
Amy surprised us with these dish towels her mom embroidered for us.  Love it!  That's Mel's necklace on top of the towels.  I forgot to get a picture of all of our necklaces.
It has been so long since we were all together.  It was nice just to finally catch up and stay up late chit chatting.
I was going to treat my girls to brunch at the club before they left Sunday but the weather had other plans.  Thanks to the storm they had to hit the road sooner rather than later.  I can't wait for our next get together.

5 Months Old!

I continue to be about a month behind on the blog.  Evelyn is going on 6 months old but I'm finally getting her 5 month post up.  I'll get caught up one of these days.
Our sweet baby girl is growing so fast and we are enjoying every bit of it.  The kids continue to love on her as well.  She continues to be such a good baby that just goes with the flow.  The sleep department is hit or miss right now but I blame the teeth.  I think she's working on the top ones now but they haven't broken through yet.
Showing off her bottom two teeth
She is always so happy when she's awake.  She smiles so easily and loves to laugh for her big brother and big sister the most.  We haven't started baby food but probably will start soon.  We waited until closer to 6 months with Carter and Audrey too.

Riding bikes

The second to last weekend in Jan. it was real nice out.  That morning we went furniture shopping so when we got home it was time to enjoy the nice weather while it was here.  We got the kids new bikes out for them to practice riding.  Carter was apprehensive as always.  He's so used to his training wheels that it's going to take a lot work and practice.
Audrey is so used to the tricycle that she'll need a little practice pedaling her big girl bike.  Carter was sweet and walked along side of her encouraging her and reassuring her that he was right there if she needed him.  So cute!

Random pics

Another cute picture of my girls matching.  Grandma and Grandpa got them these cute sweaters.
Ever since getting her bottom teeth Evelyn would stick her tongue out a lot.  I had to get a picture of her looking so funny.
She continues to love her exersaucer
Audrey continues to love ballet.  I found her a ballet wrap sweater to keep her warm in class.  She looks adorable in it even though it's a little big yet.  She loves it when I give her what she calls lalaloopsy hair (two buns).  I wanted to take a picture of her in the sweater but she turned her head to show her hair instead.
the kids like to supervise Evelyn in the exersaucer and play with the toys on it

cute hats

When Tita Amy came to visit she brought the kids these cute hats.  The kids love them and look adorable in them.
She found the perfect ones too.  Carter's always been my monkey, Audrey a pink strawberry (her favorite fruit) and Evelyn a colorful flower hat.
 Thanks Tita Amy!
