6 months old

The end of Feb. our baby girl turned 6 months!  I swear it goes by faster with each one.  She continues to be such a good baby and goes with the flow.
At six months she has 3 teeth and you can see 2 more on the way.  She sits by herself and is eating cereal and veggies well.  Sleep is hit or miss thanks to all the teeth.  She's discovering her voice but still loves to blow raspberries.  She's our smiley happy girl and we love her to pieces!
I'm going to have to take pictures quickly from now on because she has discovered the sticker.
Carter still loves to give her attention when he gets home from school.
She makes me smile every day :)

dream lite

Audrey's bedroom is really big and the nightlight doesn't give off enough light for her at night.  Since being in the new house she's been asking for a lady bug dream lite.  We usually don't give in to the kids infomercial requests.  However, Audrey kept going to bed with her lamp on.  Every time we would turn it off she would tell us she wouldn't need her lamp and be scared if she had a dream lite.  She wore on us enough for us to give in and finally get her the silly thing.  She was thrilled and has no problem going to bed now.
Audrey got some girly legos from Grandma Debbie and Mike for Christmas.  She's been having fun building her own creations and having me help her follow the directions to build the things in the book.
It's been fun girl time while Carter is at school.
While Audrey and I were building legos Evelyn was "flying"
And working on pushing up
Love my smiley baby!

Valentine's Day

Here's our very belated Happy Valentine's post.  At least our cards arrived on time :)
The kids had fun doing this one
Carter got to make his Valentine box for school for the first time.  In preschool and Kindergarten he made a bag at school.  I found him a foam kit that had a bunch of these mustaches in it.  The kids wanted to surprise daddy when he got home by wearing them.
Daddy decided Evey needed to join in the fun too
Carter's finished product.  He did it all on his own and won best decorated.

Grandma & Grandpa visit

The weekend of the 9th Grandma & Grandpa came to visit.  They haven't seen the kids since Evelyn was born so it was nice to have them visit and see the new house.  That weekend we went to the new Caterpillar museum.  Grandpa eneded up being the 40,000 visitor!  He got a goodie bag which included the hat Carter is wearing and we all got in free.

a couple Evey pics

Audrey decided Evelyn needed all of her toys at once.  By the time Audrey ran out of toys to bring her Evelyn was completely buried.  You could only see her face.  This was about mid way through.  Evelyn didn't mind and enjoyed all having so many options within reach.
I couldn't believe Evelyn fell asleep in her bouncy chair like this.  It just doesn't look comfortable at all.  I had to take a picture of her before fixing her.
Audrey always likes to photo crash and lately she likes to make a funny face while she does.
In the beginning of the month we started rice cereal with Evelyn.  We just had the feeling she was ready and she sure was.  She ate it like a champ the very first time.  The other two took awhile to get used to it.  Since then we have gotten through a bunch of veggies and she's now starting some fruit. She's my good eater.

Saying good bye

After the girls left Sunday I packed for the kids and I to head up to Wisconsin the next morning. I wanted to make it back to Sheboygan so I could be with my grandma before she passed. The kids were great and I made it with out having to stop.  I was able to sit with family and hold her hand. Late that night she passed surrounded by her loved ones.  Even though she is no longer suffering and is in a better place it is still hard to say good bye.  She will be greatly missed.
Tuesday afternoon I drove back home.  The kids went to school Wednesday and I was able to get us repacked while they were there.  Thursday, we went back up to Sheboygan for the visitation and funeral services.  The kids were troopers with all the back and forth.
The upside was being with all our family.  It was nice to see the little ones have fun together.
We had some time to let the kids swim before having to head out for dinner.
Here's big kid Chuck showing Carter and Audrey how much fun the slide is.
Carter wasn't buying it and was scared to go down.  The kid will jump off a boat and diving board but was scared of the slide.  He went down anyway but only if we bought him an app for his kindle fire.  You gotta love his face coming down the slide.  He was all smiles that night picking out his app :)
Friday night the family that was still in town went out for a fish fry.  Grandma loved going out for a fish fry on Fridays so that's what we all did.  It was good as always and nice to have that extra time with family.
Audrey, Ava and Natalie had a blast together.  They had fun running around and dancing that night.
Nora and Evelyn are only two days apart.  They looked so cute holding hands
 Pile up on Zach
 cousins!
The kids were able to get some sledding in at Grandma Debbie and Mike's house.  We haven't gotten enough snow to do this at home so they were thrilled and had a good time.

Farwell girls visit

The last weekend in January my lovely Farwell girls came to visit.  I am so blessed to have these friends in my life and we have remained friends through the years and distance.  Love these girls and our time together.  They all met up in Beloit and drove the rest of the way down together.  So grateful they were all willing to make the trip down for us to spend the weekend together.
Saturday we did some shopping and went out to lunch.  After lunch we found a bead store that helped us make our own necklaces.  I was a lot of fun.
All of our necklaces had the silk tie in common but all turned out different.
After we finished making our necklaces we headed home to start cooking dinner.  We had a good time all being in the kitchen together.
Amy even let Audrey help with the salsa
Hillary taking her turn with baby duty so I could cook.  Evelyn got a lot of attention that weekend being held by eveyone.
Amy surprised us with these dish towels her mom embroidered for us.  Love it!  That's Mel's necklace on top of the towels.  I forgot to get a picture of all of our necklaces.
It has been so long since we were all together.  It was nice just to finally catch up and stay up late chit chatting.
I was going to treat my girls to brunch at the club before they left Sunday but the weather had other plans.  Thanks to the storm they had to hit the road sooner rather than later.  I can't wait for our next get together.
