Evelyn's last day

At the end of May Evelyn had her last day of Toddler Preschool.  It was such a great year for her and it just seemed to fly by.
She loved going to school.  Her first question every morning was if it was a school day.  If the answer was no then she asked, why?
I always like to compare their first and last day pictures.  It's amazing to see what a difference a year can make.
Before pick up they finish the day with circle time and sing their good bye songs.  It's so cute to watch them.
Her teacher and 2 of her closest buddies, Brendan and Sienna.  We both made some great friends this year.
With more of the kiddos from her class.  We're missing a couple.
With her wonderful teacher, Mrs. Larson.  She was amazing with the kiddos!  We could not have asked for a better teacher.
Unfortunately, the teacher assistant Miss Byrne got sick and missed the last day.  Evelyn really loved her and we were sad to not get to say good bye.
Evelyn's friend, Sienna had an end of the year party.  It's always fun when the balloon man is there.
Theses kiddos had so much fun together this year.

Mother's day, etc

I got home from Vegas late Mother's Day night and the kids were already asleep.  They were so excited to give me my presents they made at school the next morning.  Carter made this sweet book of why he loves me.  Each hand had a different reason.  So cute to read what he wrote.
Audrey made me a jewelry box, fish and a sweet card.  Love my kiddos!
 Now onto some random pics.
Evelyn and her sweet friends from her 2 year old preschool.  The moms were talking and the kiddos decided to have a seat in the cubbies.
Evelyn loves her bubble mower and the amazing weather May brings.
She loves putting puppies in the basket of her tricycle.  Audrey always decorates the driveway with sidewalk chalk.
Our first fountain was resin and didn't hold up through the frigid winters.  It was time to replace it with a 500 pound concrete one.
 Tossing the football
 Audrey proud she caught it
Proof they can play nicely together
Evelyn continues to crack me up.  While she was getting ready for bed she insisted on not wearing a top.  When we asked why and tried to convince her she does need a top she said, "No! Evey is Carcar junior."  She loves her big brother and wants to be just like him.
Sasha soaking up some love from Carter before he heads off to school.
This girl is starting to drop her nap but has days where she passes out wherever she is.

Vegas Baby!

Over Mother's Day weekend my sisters and I took Mom to Vegas to celebrate her 60th birthday. Our first morning there we enjoyed a yummy breakfast at the Bellagio then walked through the gorgeous garden.
Loved all the Chihuly glass on the ceiling.
The best part of the trip was hiking the Red Rock Canyon.
 Beautiful views everywhere

It was fun to see all the rock stacks people left behind.  We made some of our own as well.
My sisters and I on top of "pride rock"
 more group shots
The 4 of us aren't able to get together often so it was nice to have this time.
At the end of the trail was an awesome view of the strip.

Impressive flower displays at the Wynn
We enjoyed a great dinner followed by an amazing show called Le Reve
More beautiful flowers
We also saw Cirque de Soleil Ka.  Loved it!

student of the month

Every month the teachers and principal pick a student of the month for each grade.  They are the Dunlap Royals so, they are called the Royal of the month.  Carter was chosen last year so I wasn't expecting it to happen this year.  I was so proud of him when I heard he was selected again this year.
A group picture of the April and May Royals of the month.
Poor Evelyn was so dramatic about her first skinned knee for this spring.
These 2 looked so cute walking into school we had to take a picture of them.
Evelyn's adorable Mother's Day card and gift.  The pot had caterpillars, butterflies and bees made with her fingerprints.  Love it!
She was so excited to give it to me.  It was adorable to see how proud all the kiddos were to give them to all the mamas.
My sweet baby is getting so big!
So big that while I'm talking to other moms, she climbs into my seat to put on lip gloss.  Look at that concentration!

Monkey turns 9!

Our monkey turned 9 in May!
He picked a strawberry cake with chocolate frosting.
His little sisters had to get in a pic too
Making his wish
More Rangers Apprentice books!  I love how much he loves to read.
And of course video game accessories, just to name a few of his gifts.

Playground fun

Beginning of May also brought gorgeous weather.  We took advantage and went to the park. Evelyn was cute trying to push Carter on the swing.
The kids love it and I love that it gets their energy out.
Carter being king of the mountain, or something along those lines.
 Climbing the twisty thing
The little diva in her sunglasses
They spent a lot of time blowing dandelion seeds.
Oh, the simple pleasures on life.
